Vaping is now a lifestyle for some people who were a smoker or non-smoker. Some of the scientist or health organization conclude that e-cigarette is way much safer that traditional cigarette. But how about for the mouth health itself? Especially for our teeth health and appearance.

At the American Association for Dental Researdh’s annual conference, the scientists from the British American Tobacco (BAT) presented a study that examined teeth exposed to cigarette smoke and teeth subjected to vaping over two weeks.

BAT’s researchers used a prototype e-cigarette and tobacco heating product to test color’s enchangement on cow’s teeth. They incubated the teeth at temperature as in human saliva and the result as the teeth subjected to e-cigarette didn’t become stained while those that are exposed to traditional cigarette stained almost immediately.

"After the first day, the teeth exposed to the smoke extract started to change color and over the course of 14 days, these teeth got darker and darker in color," BAT said. "Even with the naked eye, the color changes with the cigarette extract could be easily seen after one day. In contrast to teeth exposed to smoke those exposed to e-cigarette or THP vapor exhibited minimal change in color, similar to untreated teeth.”

So do you prefer smoke or vape? It’s your choice.
